Course Description
Our understanding of the molecular pathogenesis of hematopoietic and lymphoid tumors has advanced significantly over the past decade. The emergence of next-generation technologies and advanced molecular testing methodologies has enabled highly precise interrogation of tumor genomes, bringing personalized medicine closer to routine clinical practice.
However, the increasing complexity of available data requires continuous reassessment of disease definitions and diagnostic criteria. Modern hematopathology practice demands integration of multiple ancillary studies to establish accurate diagnoses and guide nuanced patient management strategies.
This long course addresses key knowledge gaps and complex diagnostic scenarios across selected challenging myeloid and lymphoid disorders. Each lecture is paired with case-based diagnostic examples demonstrating practical and comprehensive approaches to difficult hematopathology workups.
By the end of this course, learners will have enhanced understanding of the diagnosis and workup of common and unusual myeloid, histiocytic, B-cell, and T-cell proliferations, including appropriate immunophenotypic and genetic testing strategies.
